Tea Uses: Try Cooking With Tea
You probably already know about the great health benefits associated with drinking tea. But maybe you just can’t find the time or the desire to drink 6-8 cups daily to get all those great benefits.
Try cooking with tea. It’s an easy way to work the tremendous health benefits into your everyday life. You can add tea into your favorite recipes for delicious new tastes.
You can add brewed tea as a base for your sauces, as a seasoning for marinades or as a liquid to use for braising. It’s also great for cooking rice by just using the tea in place of the water or broth. Or, add a little brewed green tea to your salad dressing.
When using your favorite cookie recipe try adding a tablespoon of ground loose tea into your mix. You can try this tasty recipe for Green Tea Honey Cake.

Keep in mind that the longer tea stews the more bitter it becomes. You’ll want to keep your brewing time for green tea to about 2 minutes, black teas about 5 minutes, oolong teas 7 minutes and white teas about 12 minutes.
After you’ve brewed your tea refrigerate it in an airtight container. It can be stored for up to 3 days. Consider mixing several different teas together for your own unique blend.
